Aurora has worked with Arrow since 2010 when they moved their billing and provisioning operation to Aurora’s software solution Affinity.
Arrow has worked with Aurora to extend mobile self-management out to its customer base via a unique web offering and continues to be an important contributor to the development of the Affinity system.
Over the last few years, Arrow has been on an aggressive acquisition strategy and the business has nearly trebled in size growing from its mobile roots to a much broader based business communications supplier. Arrow’s primary drivers remain the nurturing of close customer relationships through personal contact, whilst offering dynamic solutions to suit all types of business.
With the introduction of incentives for resellers, and after listening to feedback from their customers, Arrow decided to take its mobile solutions proposal to another level. The plan was to embrace flexible shared bundles that catered for all customer requirements and which gave both cost centres and individuals alike, better control over their telecoms spend.
Aurora reviewed the plans with Arrow and arranged for their mobile and billing experts to attend a series of onsite workshops where they identified and agreed the finer details of the required development work, along with a time frame for the deliverables.
Aurora developed Affinity to provide Arrow with an enhanced set of wholesale management tools, removing both the need for manual intervention and the risk of human error at any stage of the process. Aurora modified the Affinity mobile module to cater for complex carrier charging scenarios and to set up the correct network RRP tariffing for each new connection added.
The final solution included a set of sophisticated reports and this has saved Arrow a week of administrative time at the end of each bill run.
Arrow have significant expertise in the mobile arena, and are fully conversant in mobile billing. Aurora were able to work closely with their experts to ensure they were involved in the design decisions, and played a full part in the testing so Arrow are now fully briefed on how the software works and are able to make educated and informed implementation and design decisions.
Aurora’s enthusiasm for the project had a positive effect on everyone involved at Arrow, instilling them with a confidence that the solution met all of their desired requirements.
The work has led to a much closer relationship between Arrow and Aurora, one that has benefited both sides.
